Create a new type of superhero

Imperfect Yet Yummy was created in 2022 and aims to educate children about damages caused by the food waste to the environment, society, and ultimately the economy. The founder, an experienced chef, who lived in different part of the globe noticed that the food waste issue is continue and only a behavioural change can solve it.

Therefore, she decided to pass on her knowledge to the next generation, giving them not only the joy of her cooking but also an appreciation and care for our natural resources.

Our mission

Teaching children to cook is the best approach to help them appreciate the flavours and nutrients in their food. Imperfect Yet Yummy aims to help them on their discovery journey as they will have the opportunity to taste different dishes from all over the word. This is once again to encourage children to stop being picky, as this behaviour can also determine the amount of food wasted in the household.

At Imperfect Yet Yummy, we believe in the next generation to make positive and sustainable impact. We intend to inspire new kinds of heroes by educating kids about the value of cooking their own meals, not only for their health but also in a way that will benefit the planet. With over 15 years of expertise in the culinary industry, Monique, the founder of Imperfect yet Yummy perceives food waste as a problem affecting people from all socio-economic backgrounds.

Health & safety

Cooking is not only great fun for children, it also equips them with valuable life skills. At Imperfect Yet Yummy, we aim to encourage the kids’ curiosity and interest in their foods. Where possible we will taste and combine different ingredients from several countries as well as learning different cooking methods. Children will gain more knowledge in healthy eating while taking care of the environment that is providing us with all these yummy foods.  Our cooking classes are designed to make everyone feel proud and confident in elaborating their own menus because our goal is to transform basic or unwanted ingredients into great and delicious dishes.

Even more benefit for our little chefs!

Cooking involves reading (recipes), maths (weighing and measuring ingredients), science (changes when substances are heated, frozen and mixed), biology (hygiene and safety), arts (food presentation), and even discovery of other cultures.

Children are supervised by trained and DBS checked staffs, parents or guardians. Every precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of your child.
